Im not sure if theres a guest extensions package for MacOS, I know VMWare has something but it doesnt come with anything, you have to hunt it down online. VBoxManage setextradata “MacOSX Catalina” “VBoxInternal/Devices/efi/0/Config/DmiSystemProduct” “iMac11,3” Allocating all your RAM actually makes the whole host and VM run slow.

VIRTUALBOX MAC OS X SLOW MOUSE MAC OS X
I’m glad I did it so that I understand what’s possible with Mac OS X as a virtual machine, but it’s way too underperforming compared to any other OS as a virtual machine. Name your Virtual Machine High Sierra, and choose Mac OS X for the operating system and Mac OS X (64-bit) for the version (as of this writing, macOS High Sierra is not offered, but that’s fine.) Continue through the process. MacOS 9, Fedora, Ubuntu ran circles around Catalina with lesser specs. It’s slow, VERY slow, despite running on the latest i7-8* processors with a GTX 1060 to do graphics acceleration, it’s painfully slow compared to ANY other virtual machine running.

It works… after too many hours, I had success with a 4-processor, 8GB (memory), 100GB (storage) virtual machine running under either Oracle VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation 15.5.1
